Mystery Box Challenge No.2

For this mystery box challange  we sent out coconut aminos something that is specific to helping out a Paleo lifestyle. When eating Paleo one of the food groups you want to avoid is legumes, due to their toxicity caused by lectins and anti-nutrients.

So having just finished chopping up a heap of vegetables.

Have your meat finely cut.

And just about to cook up the best paleo asian stir fry cuisine ever.

Don’t panic as you are about to heap on the soy sauce and realize, soy is a legume.

See Cave Girl and cooking with coconut aminos.

The mystery box contained a number of products, but one of the more unusual ingredients is something called  mesquite powder. This can be used as a a sweetener and with a low GI and a number of nutritional benefits can be a good alternative for flavouring in baking and smoothies.

So over at  cavegirl.co.nz  take a look at what she put together, caramel slice but with a mesquite powder twist.
